Water Quality Monitoring: Check influent COD, pH, and temperature at least once daily; effluent COD, VFA, ALK, and SV30 (settling ratio should be <20%).

Sludge Management:
Observe the sludge bed height. If it exceeds 1/2 of the tank height, drain some sludge appropriately;
Sludge draining frequency: Drain 5%–10% of the sludge bed volume weekly to prevent aging.

Equipment Maintenance:
Regularly clean debris from the effluent weir (be careful to avoid falling);
Check the water level of the water-seal tank and maintain normal height;
Calibrate instruments such as pH meter, thermometer, and flow meter.

Biogas System:
Hydrogen sulfide content in biogas should be <20 mg/m³ and requires desulfurization treatment;
Clean the gas-liquid separator monthly and check desulfurizer efficiency quarterly.

The UASB (Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket) anaerobic tank is a core device for efficiently treating high-concentration organic wastewater. Its stable operation depends on precise process control, standardized operating procedures, and strict safety management.
